Operations Superintendent in Persian Gulf

Position Operations Superintendent is open on Container Terminal in Persian Gulf.

General Responsibilities:

To control and coordinate the day to day activities within the container terminal.

Ensure that the terminal operates to its optimum potential

To ensure that operational personnel conduct their duties in accordance with company safety practices and regulations.

To ensure supervision and planning in the container terminal with regard to vessel operation.

Ensure smooth operations at the container freight station.

Responsible for deployment and optimum utilisation of manpower and equipment.

To liaise with shipping lines / agents on operational matters.

Ensure ship reports are completed promptly.

Experienced with computerized container management systems.

Break bulk experience an advantage.

To liaise with engineering staff to ensure planned maintenance schedules are maintained.

Position Specifications:

Preferable: Qualifications in Nautical Science / Port Management to H.N.C level or higher.

25 – 45 Years

Preferably 3-5 years in similar role within the port environment or minimum 5 years sea going experience on container vessels.

Essential: extensive experience working within the port environment, preferably in container terminals.

Desirable: experience working with multi-national workforce.

Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Excellent man-management, organizational and supervisory skills.

Computer literate and familiar with typical office applications.

Conditions:

Container Terminal in Persian Gulf

Reporting to the Terminal Manager

Monthly USD5000 (tax free) + Housing + Medical

    Российские импортеры и экспортеры вновь столкнулись с проблемами иностранной судоходной линии. Турецкая компания E-Shipping, оперирующая двумя судами на контейнерной линии из Владивостока в порты Китая и Кореи, не смогла выполнить свои обязательства. Часть контейнеров с середины апреля застряли на судне A HOUOU, дрейфующем в открытом море вблизи китайского порта Нинбо, а пострадавшие грузовладельцы и экспедиторы готовят коллективный иск к перевозчику.
